Shelly Patton is an Encroachment Coordinator for EPCO, Inc., whose family of companies includes Enterprise Products and TEPPCO. Prior to right of way, Shelly worked in various fields, including human resources, treasury, and even as an internal auditor at a mutual fund company.

Shelly entered the right of way field in 2004 when she accepted a position in the Land Department at Enterprise Products. Shelly knew very little about right of way, but with the encouragement of the Director of the Land Department, Alan Wurtz, Shelly joined IRWA Chapter 8 in January 2005. She began attending monthly luncheons and taking classes offered by the IRWA, soon discovering that she really enjoyed both the right of way profession and the organization.

In May of 2007, Shelly accepted the Encroachment Coordinator position at EPCO and currently works with encroachment issues throughout the EPCO system. She continues to take classes offered by the IRWA and is working toward her SR/WA. Shelly has worked on the Chapter 8 golf tournament in one form or another since she joined the IRWA, and the 2008 tournament marked her fourth year assisting with this event.
